Customs and Border Protection

ARIZONA and TEXAS / The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) supports border enforcement activities. In multiple projects, we have been a consistent source for planned improvements. These improvements have included multiple tasks across diverse projects.

– MS2 designed proper drainage; demolished former site; installed drains, curbs, wheel stops, striping, gutter and pavement for a 22,500 SF area to support parking and safe operation of vehicles at a Laredo, TX, checkpoint.

– MS2 implemented site stormwater management and emergency erosion control measures to protect perimeter fencing and surrounding infrastructure; designed and fabricated laundry and storage containers; provided and installed beds, mattresses and drinking fountains.

– MS2 procured and installed CCTV systems at four CBP sites including site preparation, demolition, trenching, asphalt/concrete cutting and patching, conduit and junction box rough-ins, electrical rough-ins, electrical trim out, low voltage wiring, fiber optic and copper cable runs w/exterior connections, utility pole and foundation installation, exterior lighting installations, network programming, working in the elements with extreme AZ weather, and installing complete standalone CCTV system integrations for an upgrade. The project included compliance with Tribal Employee Rights Office (TERO) requirements and strict contracting guidelines.

– This multiple-task project included work on unrelated facilities. A new generator was installed to meet current Customs and Border Protection requirements by providing sufficient fuel capacity for 72 hours of automatic back-up electrical power. On a separate design-build task, a vehicle wash facility was removed to provide the installation space for MS2’s sister company, OTIE, design of a new Border Patrol Station vehicle wash facility. In addition, OTIE provided design and engineering services for a new drainage plan, including stormwater control devices, vehicle access, and accommodations for planned future improvements.
