OES-Pond JV II Awarded Contract to Design Solar Array

Bureau of Engraving and Printing to install a 600-kW ground-mount solar array on 2-acre site

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has contracted with OES-Pond JV II LLC to provide detailed analysis, survey, and engineering services for a 600 KW solar array. The solar array will be constructed on a 2-acre site adjacent to the Fort Worth TX Currency Facility (WCF) in Fort Worth, TX, and will reduce the existing facility’s electrical demand.

The scope of OES-Pond JV’s contract encompasses the investigation, development, engineering design, and permitting of a new solar array with a target capacity of 600 kW. Our team, along with the services of Building and Earth Sciences, Inc. and Sun Bear Industries is proceeding with the tasks of site investigation and design development. The estimated completion of the design effort is August 2024. The solar array design is planned to align with the proposed budgetary constraints, ensuring an efficient and cost-effective implementation.
