MS2 staff was the general contractor on the design/build of a $5.4 million Oneida tribal housing subdivision. MS2 staff performed the survey, civil, structural engineering, finish carpentry, and construction management services for the 20 housing units using a wood frame system with composite siding and shingled roofs.

MS2 staff focused on working through an aggressive construction schedule to construct all 21 units in 14 months. MS2 staff worked with the client and designers on some redesign options to allow the homes to function to the best of their abilities while providing the quality that Oneida desired. In addition, MS2 staff worked with the Oneida to redesign some of the homes to lower the budget and maintain the schedule.

This project involved nine Native American subcontractor firms, working closely with the Indian Preference Department. Each subcontractor firm hired skilled trade workers for their crews.
