Horse Border Patrol Unit Facilities Relocation, Laredo TX

Inadequacies of the original site led to the relocation of the Laredo Sector Horse Patrol Unit stables to a former Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) vehicle inspection facility. This project was the first phase of upgrades to the new site and included installation of a new waterline from the water meter on Highway 255 to a large existing canopy structure and branch waterlines to each of ten horse stall locations. It also included removal of damaged existing overhead lights, installation of new conduit and wiring, installation of new overhead LED lights, and installation of new electrical outlets in two canopy structures.

Due funding limitations, MS2 worked with CBP’s Office of Facilities Management and Engineering Directorate to develop a statement of work that addressed the most immediate requirements to allow the Horse Patrol Unit to occupy the site as soon as possible.
