Grand River Bridge Reconstruction, Green Lake County, WI

OES staff provided construction management of the $311,134 project to construct the Grand River Bridge and approaches for CTH I near Markesan in Green Lake County, WI. The original steel girder bridge was removed and replaced with a new two-span concrete bridge. This project was administered through WisDOT’s Local Program.

OES staff provided construction oversight of the bridge demolition and replacement, removal of the old bridge approaches, common excavation, structure backfill, grading, and installation of riprap, base course, asphalt paving, traffic signs, pavement markings, and landscaping restoration.

OES staff provided verification services including inspection, reporting, records documentation, materials documentation and testing, and measurement of quantities. We worked with the DNR and performed erosion control documentation and inspections that were crucial due to the location of the project being in a sensitive environment at a river crossing and adjacent to wetlands.
