In 1989, Terry Ni, PE founded T N & Associates, Inc. (TN&A) as a civil engineering company in her spare bedroom in a Milwaukee suburb. Her earliest customers included the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and local municipalities. In May 1993, her husband, Nick Ni, PE, joined TN&A as the Operations Manager of a small but thriving company of about 15 people.
Through Terry’s and Nick’s many years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work, TN&A grew into a successful multi-discipline engineering, science, and construction management firm. After selling the firm to the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin in 2008, Terry became Director of Special Initiatives, and Nick became the President of the new firm, Oneida Total Integrated Enterprises (OTIE).
Further business developments led to the creation of the Oneida ESC Group which ultimately absorbed OTIE and created three additional sister companies—Mission Support Services, Sustainment and Restoration Services, and Oneida Engineering Solutions. Thus, from Terry’s original business conception in 1989, TN&A transformed into a global family of four companies with nearly 400 employees in offices worldwide who continue to provide engineering, science, construction, and diversified technical services to meet the needs of federal customers in the Department of Defense and civilian agencies, as well many of the local and regional customers who formed the original roots of our client base.
We now bid Terry and Nick a fond farewell in their well-earned retirement as they step down and move towards their new adventures of travel and grandchildren. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their foresight, courage, and wisdom. And we look forward to their future and the future of the growing Oneida ESC Group of companies.
