CTH H Bridge over Bass Creek Reconstruction, Rock County, WI

OES staff provided construction management of the $517,580 project to construct a bridge and approaches carrying CTH H over the Bass Creek near Hanover in Rock County, WI. The original two-span concrete haunch slab structure was removed and replaced with a new two-span concrete haunch slab structure. This project was administered through the WisDOT’s Local Program for the Southwest Region.

OES staff provided construction oversight of the bridge demolition and replacement, removal of existing approaches, common excavation, structure backfill, installation of riprap, grading, aggregate base course, asphalt paving of the approaches, beam guard installation, pavement marking and landscaping.

We provided verification services including inspection, reporting, records documentation, materials documentation and testing, and measurement of quantities. OES staff worked with the Wisconsin DNR and performed erosion control documentation and inspections that were necessary due to the project being in a sensitive environment adjacent to wetlands.
